Adding a New Modifier

Modifiers allow customers to customise products (e.g., toppings or sizes).

Adding a new modifier is only possible in the Web Portal. 

1. Log in to your web portal
2. Click on Inventory
3. Click on Product Modifiers

A: To Add a Modifier Group

→ Add Group Name, Selection Type and Max. Threshold Quantity.

→ Click on “Add Group”

To Add Existing Products as Modifiers:

→ Go to Modifiers Items and Select Products

→ Select Products That You want to make as Modifiers

→ Add a maximum threshold for these selected items and save it. 

To Add Raw Ingredients as Modifiers:

→ Click on “Raw Ingredient”

→ Select Ingredients

→ Select which raw ingredients you want to add and click “Save”. 

To Add a Custom Modifier:

1. Click on “Custom Modifier”
2. Click on “Add First Modifier”

3. Add Modifier Name, Price and Threshold

4. If you want to add another modifier, click “Add another modifier.” Once you’ve added the modifier, click “Save” to save it.

B: Tagging This Modifier to a Product:

1. Click on Tag Modifiers

2. Search for the product you want to tag with the newly created modifier.

3. Click on “Add”

4. Select the Modifier Group that you recently created
5. Assign “Selection Type”, “Max Threshold Quantity” and “Sort Order”
6. Select Available Items from the “Modifier Group” and assign prices.

→ Finally, save the Modifiers. 

Now the modifier is tagged to that particular product. Refresh the system once and check in your POS section if it’s live. 

It should look just like below:

→ Here, “Seafood” is the Modifier Group with items Anchovies, Bella, and Chicken. This is the same product we tagged just above. 

Note: You can tag multiple Modifier Groups to a particular product.

From POS System:

→ You cannot make new modifiers from the POS system, but you can tag existing modifiers to a particular product. 

1. Go to Manage
2. Click on Inventory
3. Click on “Tag Modifiers”
4. Search for the product you want to tag modifiers to. 
5. Click on “+Add” in the right section of the product
6. Select the “Modifier Groups” and associated Items
7. Finally, click on “Save” to save the tagged modifier.
8. Refresh the System to check in the POS screen.
