Kitchen docket grouping is a feature in a restaurant POS system that controls which items from an order are printed together on kitchen dockets (order tickets).
For example, a restaurant may have different preparation areas:
- Kitchen: burgers, steaks, pasta, salads
- Bar: drinks, cocktails, beer
- Dessert station: cakes, ice cream
- Grill: steaks, grilled chicken
Here is how to do it in POSApt:
From Web Portal:
- Log in to your web portal
- Click on Settings

- Click on “Manage Docket Groups”

- Add a “New Docket Group” or Visit “Docket Group List” to edit.

- Tag Products to this Newly Added Docket Group

- Select the products you want to tag to this group and save it.

→ Now in the kitchen docket, you should see all the items from this docket group, all grouped together.
From POS System:
- Go to Manage
- Click on Settings
- Click on General Settings
- Click on Docket Groups

- Click on the 3 dots to tag products to a docket group

- Select the products you want to tag, and save.

→ Refresh the system once to view it in the kitchen docket.
